Jipyeong 1925

Jipyeong 1925 was a project to commemorate 100 years of history of Jipyeong Brewery in Korea, and it restored and reinterpreted the makgeolli recipe of 1925. Considering the fact that the taste of Jipyeong makgeolli has been maintained through its hand-made malt, the pattern was inspired by the 'yeast mold' made of palownia tree, which is still stored at the Jipyeong Brewery in Yangpyeong, the restored building as it was in 1925. The pattern shaped after the yeast molds stacked like the history of Jipyeong has become the metaphor of Jipyeong Heritage. This way, the design has completed Jipyeong identity to show the value of the encounter of tradition and modernity.
